We’re in the homestretch, and that means that we’re a little less busy with training, and have a bit more time to upload videos of the boy. Here are two for you:
Sorry for a bit of a lack of posting — here and on the Egypt blog. Hopefully this video will give you a glimpse into Orie’s life and development over the past 2 weeks.
The 3 weeks since our last post have been pretty hectic. We finished our training in Sohag, had a week of training in El Fayoum, and then a week in Cairo to prep and also to meet up with Orie’s 1st cousins once removed. They’ve joined us here in Assiut for training. So this last week had us doing training, hosting (wonderful guests) and teething, all of which have left little time for writing about Orie’s shenanigans. We’ll try to put some pictures up this weekend, though. But since most of you are on summer holidays and away from computers, probably no one’s missing these updates too much anyway…
This video’s a few weeks old. We’re a bit behind on our video editing — but today Barrette got us down to 169 un-processed videos (not ONLY of Orie, mind you).
We spent last week in Luxor doing training with a great group of English teachers. Orie has become a great traveller. Here are a few of his favorite “on the road” activities.
sleeping on the train
cooling off in the pool
memorizing family faces during boring training sessions
